July 25, 2007- On 25 July at 16:58, Engine 500 & Tanker 503 responded to 5833 S. New Hope Road for a reported bass boat on fire on the side of the road. The fire’s origin was in the electrical harness and next to the recently topped off fuel tanks containing 20 gallons of gasoline. The fire was contained to the engine compartment and under the raised flooring of the boat and was extinguished using a dry powder extinguisher. No injuries were reported.
